II- STRATEGIC COMPONENTS
The National Roadmap on Trade Facilitation is based on four major objectives and strategic components:

1- Streamlining measures for the accommodation of vessels and other means of transport

This strategic priority aims to meet the need to facilitate traffic in all modes of transport at the service of international trade, in particular by improving the quality of service provided to ships and lorries, the safety of navigation in port access channels and the safety of road transport, as well as appropriate logistical solutions for the storage of goods in transit in ports.

2- Simplifying imports and exports procedures through logistics platforms

The aim of this strategic priority is to help improve the performance of operators and logistics platforms and to control procedures, deadlines and costs for the passage of goods, in particular by simplifying import and export procedures and formalities.

3- Facilitating transit and transhipment procedures

This strategic component aims to respond to the need to facilitate transit and transhipment operations in order to consolidate the position and vocation of Cameroon and its ports in these areas, through greater simplification of procedures and related formalities.

4- Strengthening governance and implementing the trade facilitation agreement.

This approach aims to strengthen the effectiveness of the Committee’s actions through rigorous monitoring of activities, resolutions, performance indicators and partnerships.
