Within the context of this Trade Facilitation Roadmap, risk should be understood as an unforeseen threat, which, if it occurs, could negatively affect the attainment of the objective or action. Risks could be general or specific.
I- GENERAL RISKS
In a survey conducted by UNCTAD in January 2018, key stakeholders in trade facilitation in Cameroon expressed their opinion on the major general risks linked to the implementation of the Trade Facilitation Roadmap in Cameroon. Results show that resistance to change, political support, stability, the lack financial and human resources and sensitization on the importance of facilitating trade, constitute the major risks for Cameroon. These general risks are presented in the table below :
