A communication strategy should be developed to ensure adequate ownership of the Roadmap by the target public, required for its effective implementation. This ownership should be done internally by NTFC members and externally by all border actors involved in external trade procedures, as well as various national and international bodies involved in trade facilitation.
I- INTERNAL COMMUNICATION
Permanent communication should be carried out within NTFC to ensure the dissemination of the Roadmap’s content, communicate the results of the monitoring and evaluation of its implementation and its impact on trade facilitation and on the Cameroonian economy.
The purpose of this communication should be to make each NTFC member responsible for the implementation of the Roadmap within its structure and throughout its activity sector.
II- EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION
The purpose of external communication shall be to permanently disseminate the Roadmap to all external trade operators and actors in order to obtain their support for the vision and objectives of the Roadmap. The purpose of this communication shall therefore be to obtain the commitment of these actors to contribute to the effective implementation of actions contained in the Roadmap.
External communication should also focus on all national bodies involved in trade facilitation in order to create synergies required for the consistent implementation of facilitation measures contained in the Roadmap.
Finally, the communication strategy should include communication actions towards international institutions involved in trade facilitation in order to establish necessary partnerships between these institutions and NTFC likely to effectively support the implementation of the Roadmap.
