Functioning

CONAFE’s resources come from:

  • contributions from the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council;
  • contributions from Autonomous Port Authorities;
  • contributions from the One-Stop-Shop for Foreign Trade Operations;
  • contributions from the Ministry in charge of Finance;
  • contributions from the Ministry in charge of Transport;
  • contributions from the Standards and Quality Agency;
  • contributions from Cameroon Airports;
  • contributions the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority;
  • contributions from the National Ports Authority;
  • contributions from CAMRAIL;
  • contributions from the body responsible for freight management;
  • contributions from the private sector; 
  • financing and contributions from development partners.

The amounts of contributions are determined by the Chairperson of the SOC at the beginning of each financial year and constitute public funds. CONAFE’s budget covers current expenses inherent in the operating activities of CONAFE’s bodies, notably: studies, organization of meetings, travel, training, communication, material expenses, publication of documents, session allowances, monthly allowances, remuneration of staff and consultants, where appropriate.
